In spring 2010, Ma Maison RONA will be shot in the Quebec City region and follow the adventures of two families that have been chosen to meet the challenge of designing, building and decorating two new houses, from foundation to finishing. The viewers will choose one family to win the house they have built, furniture and all.

The show will be hosted by actress Mélanie Maynard, broadcaster and co-host of TVA's Deux filles le matin for the past five years.

The LEED^® Canada for Homes program is a certification system launched to promote the design and construction of high-performance ecological buildings. To obtain LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), homes must be built with special attention to energy efficiency, effective water management, high-quality materials and interior air quality.

To obtain LEED^® Canada for Homes certification, homes featured on Ma Maison RONA will include plenty of eco-responsible angles.

"Ma Maison RONA is where expert knowledge and the latest trends in renovation and interior decorating meet the personal tastes and needs of each family. It's a show that really reflects the image of our company," Bernier said. "Because of RONA's commitment to sustainable development and our determination to promote environmentally friendly behaviour, the idea of showcasing LEED techniques throughout the series was a natural next step."

Families that want to participate in the Ma Maison RONA show can register at any RONA store, at www.rona.ca or at www.tva.canoe.ca between November 30 and December 17, 2009. Only families that do not currently own and have never owned a family home will be eligible.
