Brenda Y. Jones, Nurse Anesthetist for Lenox Hill Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing. Ms. Jones has 42 years of overall professional experience, and has been with Lenox Hill Hospital for 10 years. As a nurse anesthetist, she is responsible for administering anesthesia for surgery such as orthopedic, eye, ear, nose and throat, as well as plastic and pediatric surgery. She also prepares the room for anesthesia for surgical procedures, interviews patients and prepares their medical history, and determines whether they have allergies and medical problems. Prior to her current posistion, she served as a nurse anesthetist for the United States Air Force for 20 years. In 1967, Ms. Jones became a Registered Professional Nurse. In 1976, Ms. Jones became a Certified Nurse Anesthetist. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
